מרגיש כמעט שזהו זה . תחושת הסוף מתקרבת ומעקצצת בי. את החודש האחרון העברתי בעבודות מגוונות...כל מני פרוייקטים קטנים . עבודת עץ בנייה וכל שאר הדברים הרגילים... ועכשיו הגיע התאריך בו אני נכנס לחופשה בת שבועיים בה אני יכול לעשות כרצוני... היום אני בדרך לעוד מסע מגניב ... (מהאחרונים ככל הנראה) בחזרה לטצ׳ינו הקנטון האיטלקי של שוויץ. שם נלון כשתיי לילות במקום שאמור להיות נקודת מפגש לחבר׳ה צעירים בשנים הקרובות (עוד פרוייקטים) המחשבות נערמות לקראת העזיבה וחזרה לארץ. הזמן הולך מצטמצם ומתקצר ,וזה מורגש. כרגע יש מעט חופש שנשאר. מבחינתי זה עוד לא הזמן להסתכל במבט אחרונה לסכם .. אני רוצה לנצל את הזמן הזה ובצורה חיובית ובעיקר להשתדל לחייך ולהינות!

Feels almost like this is it. The feeling of the end approaches and stings me.

I spent the last month in various jobs ... all kinds of small projects. Woodwork and all the usual stuff ... and now the date has come for me to go on a two-week vacation where I can do as I please ... today I'm on my way to another cool trip ... (probably the last one) back to the Italian canton of Ticino. We will stay there for two nights in a place that is supposed to be a meeting point for young guys in the coming years (more projects).

Thoughts pile up before leaving and returning to Israel. Time is getting shorter and shorter, and it is noticeable. Right now there is little freedom left. For me, this is not yet the time to look at the last glance to sum up .. I want to take advantage of this time and in a positive way and especially try to smile and enjoy!

חזרנו לעבודה , בק טו ביזנס.
בימים האלו אני חוזר לעבוד באותה מתכונת כפי שעבדתי לפני החופשה. שלושה ימים בשבוע כאן בחווה ממלאים שקיות של כל מני חליטות תה מיוחדות למינהן . שוקים סוגרים וכן הלאה ... היום לדוגמא רק לחתוך ולקלף בצל מהבוקר אך מה לעשות מי שנרשם לתכנית ההתנבדות צריך להבין שיש גם ימים כאלה 😉 בימי רביעי בדרך כלל אני עובד עם איש משק בשם כריסטיאן בשוורצנבורג (הכפר הגדול הסמוך) יוצא בבוקר על האפניים שסיפק לי הפרוייקט .בשלג, בגשם, בכל מזג אוויר. נפגשים בחווה מתחילים להאכיל את הפרות . אחרי שסיימנו , עוברים לכבשים. מגיעה הפסקת הצהריים או מבשלים לנו משהו קטן אצלו בבית או לוקחים איזה טייק אה וואי חביב מהאיזור. אחרי שנחנו , עוברים או לחטיבת עצים לבערה ואם סיימנו גם עם זה מתחילים בטיפולים קטנים של מכוניות מהאיזור בגראז׳ הקטן שיש לו בחניה. גם עם כריסטיאן זה תמיד מרתק , אף פעם לא משעמם , תמיד שיחות מעניינות ביותר , ואולי חשוב מכל מעשיר בידע וניסיון!  מחר אנחנו נפגשים שוב הוא ואני ועל כך אני שמח מחדש!

We're back to work, back to business. These days I am back at work in the same job as I worked before the vacation. Three days a week i spent here on the farm with filling bags with all kinds of special tea infusions.

Today for example I just cut and peel an onion from the morning on. Those who sign up for the EVS program should understand that there are also such days In any weather.

On Wednesdays I usually work with a farm man named Christian in Schwarzenburg (the big big village nearby). I get out in the morning on the bike provided by the project. In the snow, in the rain, in any weather. I meet him at the farm and I start feeding the cows. After we are done, move on with feeding the sheeps. Then lunch break comes and we cook something small at his house or take some takeaway.

After we rest, we move to a log division for wood and if we are done with that we start with small treatments of cars from the area in the small garage that has a parking lot. Also with Christian it is always fascinating, never boring, there are always very interesting conversations, and perhaps most important of all enriches me with knowledge and experience! Tomorrow we meet again he and I are happy for that.

בחופשת הכריסמס היה לי קורס סקי עם מורה פרטי שערך כ4 ימים . עבורי, כישראלי,זו הייתה ממש חוויה מיוחדת בתור אחד של רגיל ליותר מדי שלג ולא עשה סקי מימיו ! היה לנו דירה ממש צמודה לאתר הסקי - שווארצה מה שהפך את העניין לנוח ביותר בנוסף ציוד סקי מושכר לאורך הקורס .
היום הראשון בסקי , נפילות , התרסקויות, המון חבטות. מתחילים באיזור עם ילדים ומסוע קטן ומחזיר אותך למעלה בכל פעם . צריך המון כח רצון . אתה רואה ילדים בני 3 ו4 מחליקים כנו מקצוענים של ממש מה שגורם לך קצת לקנות ואולי קצת לאבד תקווה שאולי זה לא ממש התחום שלך . אבל גם מה שנותן לך מוטבציה להמשך -אם הם יכולים אז למה אני לא ?!
עוד יום ועוד יום. מרגישים את ההתקדמות. בסוף ביום האחרון היה לנו כרטיסים לרכבל (מעלה המורד) עלינו עם הרבה ביטחון ירדנו את כל הדרך למטה ללא עזרת מדריך וללא עזרת אף אדם אחר ! לא הייתי מאמין 4 ימים קודם לכן שכך אצליח ! בכל זאת תמיד יש הפתעות! חזרתי לחווה של אוברייכי עם תחושת סיפוק אדירה ! איזה כיף שרק ימשיך ככה! .

During the Christmas holidays I had a ski course with a private tutor that lasted about 4 days. For me, as an Israeli, it was a really special experience as one of the usual too much snow and never skied before! We had an apartment right next to the ski resort - Schwarzsee which made the matter very comfortable in addition to rented ski equipment throughout the course.

The first day of skiing started with falls, crashes, lots of bumps. We started in an area with kids and a small conveyor belt which takes you upstairs every time. It needed a lot of willpower. You see kids ages 3 and 4 skiing like real professionals which makes you a little  bit losing hope that maybe this is not really your field. But it also motivates you to continue - if they can then why not me ?!

Another day and another day. I feel the progress. At the end of the last day we had cable car tickets (up and down) on us with a lot of confidence we went all the way down without the help of a guide and without the help of anyone else! I would not have believed 4 days before that I would succeed! Yet there are always surprises! I returned to Obreichi Farm with a tremendous sense of satisfaction! What fun that will just go on like this! .

בחווה של אוברייכי איפה שאני גר. חגגנו כריסמס כולם ביחד מתנות, שוקולד , ושלג . המון שלג. ערכנו יריד מיוחד עם דוכנים של המון אנשים מהאיזור של מוצרים אורגנים מהחווה והאיזור . היה תזמורת של נגנים ואפילו התנדבתי לרקוד . לאחר מכן נסענו לעיירה הציורית גרינדלווד להמשך החגיגות מקום יפיפה . הקורונה כאן כמו בכל מקום , הכל סגור והיא מורגשת אבל האווירה המדהימה בחווה מסרבת לתת מקום לוירוס . היו אלה שבועיים של חופש מהפרוייקט. ואם להיות כנה באלי כבר לחזור לעבוד בחווה!

At Obreichi's farm we celebrated Christmas all together with gifts, chocolate, and snow. Lots of snow. We held a special fair with stalls, lots of people and people selling organic products from the farm and the area. There was an orchestra of musicians and I even volunteered to dance.

We then drove to the picturesque town of Grindelwald and the celebrations of new years took place. The corona here is everywhere, everything is closed and it is felt but the atmosphere in Obereichi at the farm refuses to give place for the virus. These were two weeks of freedom.

And to be honest, I'm already looking forward to back on the farm!

עוד שבוע בשוויץ, הגעתי למקום חדש , חווה טיפולית לאנשים שנקלעו לקשיים בחייהם.חווה אורגנית שמשווקת מוצרים לחנויות בכל הארץ, המשפחה המארחת החדשה שלי מקסימים כלכך וגם האנשים שנמצאים שם . כל יום שני אני לומד גרמנית בקורס פרטי עם מורה סימפטי ונפלא. יש הרגשה שמתקרבים כבר לאט לאט למחצית תקופת ההתנדבות , ככה זה הזמן בשוויץ , הוא טס במהירות. לא מזמן נפרדתי מהמשפחה הקודמת יש בזה קושי כי אתה נקשר לאנשים ופתאום לפתע אתה נאלץ לעזוב ,אך עם זאת אתה בדרך ליעד הבא ,למשימה הבאה,לאתגר הבא. בסופשים תמיד מעניין בשבת עשינו ערב פיצה ואומנות .כל פעם זו הרפתקה אחרת -בין עם עולים איזה הר יפייפה או בין עם טיול קצר בשלג , או אפילו סתם לבקר בברן . ואני כרגיל .כולי ציפייה לקראת הבאות !

Another week in Switzerland: I arrived at a new place, a therapeutic farm for people who have run into difficulties in their lives. An organic farm that markets products to stores all over the country. My new host family is so charming and so are the people who are there.

Every Monday I learn German in a private course with a sympathetic and wonderful teacher. There is a feeling that we are already slowly approaching the halfway point of volunteering, that's how it is in Switzerland; Time flies fast.

I recently left my previous family, because there is a difficulty, you are attached to people and suddenly you are forced to leave, yet you are on your way to the next destination, to the next task, to the next challenge.

On weekends it is always interesting on Saturday we did an evening of pizza and art. Each time it is a different adventure - whether with hiking some beautiful mountain or with a short hike in the snow, or even just to visit Bern. And as usual, I am looking forward to the next adventure!

חודש וחצי בערך בשוויץ, הנופים שונים האוכל ובעיקר האנשים. מהרגע הראשון שקיבלתי את הודעה על הפרוייקט לחצי שנה בשוויץ כמעט ולא היססתי , ידעתי מיד,זה משהו שאני רוצה לעשות .
לאחר שנחתתי נאלצתי להכנס לעשרה ימי בידוד בעקבות נגיף הקורונה . למזלי הפרטנרית שלי ג׳ומאן הייתה לא פחות מפרטנרית מופלאה למשימה זו ועל כך אני מודה לה מאוד . את החודש הראשון התחלנו בבפרויקט של בניית חומה מאבנים טבעיות בלבד (טרסה) בפסגת הרי הוויסנשטיין מעל העיר סולות׳ורן חוויה אדירה שארכה כשלוש שבועות וללא ספק משהו שייצרב לעד בזכרוני . את השהות שלי בסולות׳ורן העברתי ע״י אירוח מקסים בידי זוג מקסים להפליא עם שניי ילדים מתוקים לא פחות פשוט חוויה של ממש ! לאחר מכן היה לג׳ומאן ולי שבוע פנוי - לקחנו את ההזדמנות בשתיי ידיים ונסענו לבקר חבר קרוב שלי באיזור ציריך , חבר שהכרתי גם בפרוייקט בשוויץ לפני שנה (building walls breaking walls) . המשכנו לעוד כמה ימים מופלאים בטיצ׳ינו הקנטון האיטלקי של המדינה וגם שם היה מטורף ...
ועכשיו הנה אני בחלק האמיתי שלכבודו הגעתי : ההתנדבות בקאנטרי סייד ... בימים אלו אני מתארח אצל המשפחה המאמצת השנייה שלי(ריגיסברג,איזור הגאנטריש) , זוג באיזור ה60 לחייהם עם המון נסיון ובעיקר המון טוב לב וחיוך גדול. כל יום חצי שעה באוטובוס/אופניים ואני בשוורצנבורג נהנה מעבודה עם בעלי חיים,עבודה עם עץ , בנייה,ועוד ועוד ובעיקר נהנה מכל רגע ! עבר רק חודש וחצי אמנם וזה מרגיש כאילו אני מקומי ונולדתי כאן! כרגע ההתנדבות החלומית ממשיכה ואני רק מצפה לבאות!

Now I'm about a month and a half in Switzerland, the landscapes are different, the food and especially the people.

From the first moment I received the announcement of the project for six months in Switzerland, I almost didn't hesitate, I knew right away, it's something I wanted to do.

After I arrived in Switzerland, I had to go 10 days in quarantine because of the corona virus. Luckily my partner Juman was a wonderful partner for this task and for that I thank her very much.

The first month we began a project of building a dry-stone-wall yat the summit of the Weissenstein Mountain above the city of Solothurn. A tremendous experience that took about three weeks and undoubtedly something that I will remember forever.

I spent my stay in Solothurn with a lovely hostfamily. A wonderfully lovely couple with two not less sweet children - just a real experience!

Juman and I had then a week off - we took the opportunity with both hands and went to visit a close friend of mine in the Zurich area, a friend I also met on a project in Switzerland a year ago (building walls breaking walls). We continued for a few more wonderful days in Ticino, the Italian canton of the country and it was crazy there...

And now here I am in the real part, the reason why I came: volunteering on the Country Side. These days I am staying with another hostfamily (Rigisberg, Gantrisch area), a couple in their 60s with a lot of experience and especially lots of kindness and a big smile. Every day  i go half an hour by bus / bicycle to Schwarzenburg, where I'm enjoy working with animals, working with wood, construction, and more and especially enjoying every moment!

It's only been a month and a half and it feels like I'm local and I was born here! Right now the dream volunteering continues and I'm just looking forward to what is coming!
